FAQ |
| What is a Podcast? |
Podcasting is one of the newest fads on the
Internet. A podcast is simply an audio file that can be downloaded
and listened to later. It’s called “Podcast” instead
of “Broadcast” since many people copy the audio files to
their iPod and listen to them while jogging, in their car, at work… The
BandTalk podcast will be a standard .mp3 file that can be downloaded
for any mp3 player or listened to directly through a web browser. |
| How do I hear the Podcast? |
If you use a podcast receiver like iPodder
(now called Juice), Doppler or iPodderX then
you can use our rss feed to download Band Talk automatically. You can
also find us in the podcast section of iTunes. Just search for Band
Talk.
You can also simply click the MP3 button to play each
show with your web browser. You should also be able to right click
the mp3 button and select "Save
Link As"
to download the file and play later in Windows Media Player or your
favorite mp3 player. |
| Who does the podcast? |
The host for Band Talk is Jeffrey Thompson, first webmaster of the
Band Link web site. |
| How do you do the interviews? |
Most of the interviews are recorded phone calls. A software program
called Gizmo Project is used to call guests around the state using
a computer. The conversation is recorded using a program called Audition,
then edited and added to our rss feed. |
| Where does the music
at the beginning come from? |
The lead in music is a short clip from "Theorem" by Kineto, found
at podsafeaudio.com. |
